breathing issues

So young adults with inborn heart problems have often had an operation on their heart, and they’re often left with some mechanical or electrical problems with the heart. So the main problems we find in adults with congenital heart disease are either breathlessness or palpitations. And we’re also concerned about the composition of their blood and also their social, you know, sometimes their job opportunities and their ability to do sport and have babies is not the same as other people. So there’s a whole of life care for adults with congenital heart disease that have medical and non-medical aspects to it.
