Here are the times when you should be most fertile over the next months.
Good luck! Getting pregnant may take time - be patient. It may take up to a year for you to get pregnant.
To maximise your chances of getting pregnant, have sex in the days leading up to and at the time of ovulation, because sperm can live for 3-5 days inside you, but the egg only lives for a day. This is known as your fertile window.
Twenty-four hours after you have ovulated, the unfertilised egg is not viable and you will not become pregnant in this cycle.
The more regular your cycle, the more accurate the calendar will be, because it's based on your past menstrual patterns. However, the exact timing of ovulation (egg release) can vary from month to month, even in women with regular cycles.
Use physical signs of ovulation to help you predict when you are most fertile, including:
There are also home ovulation testing kits that you can use to predict ovulation and find your fertile window. One type of test measures luteinising hormone (LH) - the hormone that controls when ovulation occurs - in your urine. LH levels tend to rise 24-48 hours before you ovulate. Other ovulation tests can detect changes that occur in your saliva several days before ovulation.
It's important to note that the ovulation calendar is a tool to help women conceive. It is not a suitable way of preventing pregnancy.
