How Do You Treat a Blue Bottle Sting? Dr. Norman Swan

marine bites and stings

Hello, it’s Norman Swan here. If you get stung by a blue bottle and when you come out of the water, you’ve gotta try and get rid of the stings, not with your hand, but you can maybe use a towel.

Obviously you won’t have a glove with you. Don’t use vinegar, and if there’s hot water nearby, unlikely, you can immerse it in hot water. That does help.

Otherwise, just wash it well with seawater.
