I get asked this question a lot. There are no foods specifically that will stimulate your immune system. You have to watch taking vitamin supplements as taking antioxidants may actually reduce the effectiveness of your immune system. The main way to deal with your immune system is to make sure you are staying fit and healthy and you are eating a Mediterranean diet, which is not too much red meat and lots of vegetables of different colours. You are getting a natural diet with lots of roughage in it, wholemeal bread and that sort of thing. That will keep your immune system in the best possible shape. Starvation is not good, overeating is not good. It’s the Goldilocks principal – just right.
