(duplicate) What is thyroid cancer?

The thyroid gland is an important gland. It’s in the neck, the base of the neck, and it controls our body’s metabolism.

It’s a gland in which cancers can arise. And often the only sign that you will identify is a bit of a swelling or a lump in the neck where the thyroid is located.

Those cancers range from incredibly mild cancers that are easy to treat and actually have a high high cure rate to the much more rare, very aggressive, very nasty, cancer.

I think the most important thing is that if you have a lump in your neck, you seek medical advice so that someone can actually identify whether there’s a cancer there and what to do about it.
