Teething is a natural process but it can be stressful for both the baby and the parents.

Teething is a natural process, but it can bring discomfort and distress to your baby. Baby teeth usually appear gradually from the age of six months up to three years.

For a few days before and after each tooth emerges, your baby can be very irritable. Their gums might become red and swollen. They will probably want to chew on just about anything to relieve the pressure on their gums. You can help relieve your baby’s discomfort by massaging the sore gum with a soft, wet cloth or a clean finger. Or you can give them a chilled teething ring to chew.

Generally, a full set of 20 baby teeth will have erupted by the age of two or three.
