Caesarean Section

Cesarean Section

Now I know you’ve had a caesarean section before but let’s just run through the basics again. You’ll have an anaesthetic. Most likely an epidural so you’ll be awake for the birth.

Your Obstetrician can then make a cut along your bikini line and your baby can be gently lifted out of your uterus by hand. After you’ve seen your baby you’ll be stitched up and a dressing will be put over the wound. The whole thing should be over in half an hour or so. Recovery will take a bit longer, about six weeks but you can begin breastfeeding right away.

Well, your caesarean section all went extremely well and what a beautiful, perfect baby. And I love the name you chose, too. See you, Julia.
