If you are approaching or going through menopause, you may want to ask your doctor some of these questions. You may find it helpful to write your key questions on a piece of paper so that you don’t forget them.

- What is hormone replacement therapy (HRT) — also referred to as hormone therapy (HT) — and is it safe?

- What are the side effects of HRT?
- Are there any medicines other than HRT that can help treat menopausal symptoms?
- What about complementary therapies to treat menopause symptoms?
