The hardest part of losing weight can be keeping the weight off. Take a look at these handy weight maintenance tips sent in by our very own myDr members.
Have a good breakfast of oats and fruit to give yourself enough energy for the day.
Walk wherever and whenever possible - to post letters, buy milk, pay bills, buy lunch, etc.
Eat fewer take-aways and more fresh fruit and vegies ... and drink plenty of water.
Get moving ... housework, walking, gardening - these all add up to burning off weight!
Drink plenty of water and allow yourself to indulge in a treat when you really want to - with small portions!
Keep your hands busy doing craft to avoid putting snacks in your mouth.
Always sit down to eat and use a plate, even if it is just a quick bite. This can help to cut down on snacking, especially if you don't like washing up!
Choose a form of exercise you enjoy, because you are much more likely to stick to it.
Don't eat late in the evening, and don't eat too quickly - take your time and let the food reach your stomach before going back for seconds.
Get out and see the world! Walk through rainforest trails, swim at beautiful beaches and enjoy every second!
