World Parkinson's Day is an opportunity to boost awareness about Parkinson’s disease and to show support for those affected. On this day - the birthday of Dr James Parkinson, who was the first to describe the disease - Parkinson's organisations around the world organise events to raise awareness of PD and the needs of people with this disease.
