Dementia Awareness Week is held each year to coincide with World Alzheimer Day on 21 September.

Alzheimer organisations in each state and territory hold information, education and fun events to increase awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, celebrate the achievements of people with dementia and support their carers.
