
World No Tobacco Day is an annual celebration to inform the community about tobacco - the dangers of using it, the business practices of tobacco companies, and what WHO is doing, and people around the world can do, to fight the tobacco epidemic.
In 2011, the theme is the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control - a treaty signed by more than 170 countries to encourage cooperation in tobacco control. WHO urges all countries to fully implement this treaty.
