National Nutrition Week is part of Nutrition Australia's health promotion campaign to encourage food variety and physical activity.
In 2011, the 'Healthy Food; Healthy Planet' kit aims to help families make healthy food choices and become more active to improve health and protect our environment. The kit includes strategies to overcome barriers such as time and budget constraints. And on Nude Food Day, 19 October, participate in activities to reduce rubbish and promote healthy eating for all schools and workplaces.
Did you know that eating fresh fruit and vegetables is not only good for you, but can also help the environment by saving on packaging and processing?
In Nutrition Week, find out how to make healthy eating easy and enjoyable, how to read food nutrition labels and dietary guidelines for healthy eating.
