Mental Health Week is a national health promotion campaign to promote social and emotional wellbeing for all Australians. It is held each year in early October, coinciding with World Mental Health Day on 10 October.
Organisations in each state and territory hold events involving individuals, community groups and service providers with the aim of activating, educating and engaging about mental health.
Almost half of all Australians will experience a mental disorder some time in their lives.
