Lifeline Australia's Stress Down Day is dedicated to reducing the burden of stress in our community. Lifeline urges us all to take the opportunity to recognise and reduce stress by having fun with colleagues and friends at work or school.
All Australians are invited to participate in stress reducing, fun activities such as wearing slippers to work or school, or dressing up or down, and then making a donation to Lifeline. Funds raised will help run Lifeline's 24-hour telephone crisis support service.
More than 90% of Australians experience stress in their life, according to a 2009 survey. Read myDr's explanation of the effects, symptoms and tips for beating stress.
See myDr's Stress topic page for more information.
