Doctors are advised to warn patients scheduled for radical prostatectomy (removal of the prostate gland) that they may experience decreased penis length, according to a US study.
The study of 124 men found that penis size was smaller after prostatectomy, with one in 5 patients experiencing a 15 per cent or greater reduction in stretched penile length (Journal of Urology 2003; 169: 1462-64).
