National Stroke Week aims to raise awareness about stroke, its risk factors, early warning signs, and the importance of seeking urgent medical attention if you experience any of these signs.
In 2011, the theme is 'one in 6'. This reminds us that one in 6 Australians will have a stroke, plus 6 important steps for stroke prevention and treatment: know your personal risk, be physically active, keep a healthy diet, limit alcohol, avoid cigarette smoke, and learn the warning signs of stroke (F.A.S.T.).
Do you know your stroke risk? Check with our Stroke Risk Test. Plus find out what risk factors you can control and the warning signs of stroke (F.A.S.T.).
