Macular Degeneration Awareness Week aims to increase knowledge about the symptoms of macular degeneration and the importance of seeking treatment if you experience any of these, or any sudden change in vision. Don't wait, act now, early detection is vital.

A highlight of the week is the Macular Degeneration Foundations's mEYE World Photographic Competition. The foundation invites you to enter your photos. In 2011, the theme is "eyes on the future".
