Golden seal capsules urgently recalled

18 October 2002

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has recalled some bottles of Nature's Sunshine herbal dietary supplement, Golden Seal.

The urgent recall, which applies to bottles of 100 with a batch number of 00134802 and an expiry date of January 2007, comes after some 500 mg capsules were possibly contaminated with bee pollen.

According to the TGA, this could cause a serious risk to health and might be life threatening.
