October is internationally known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In Australia, the National Breast Cancer Foundation raises money from the sale of pink ribbon products to support research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.

Since the foundation was established in 1994, over $67 million has been awarded to Australian-based researchers around the country, to improve the health and wellbeing of those affected by breast cancer.
