myDr is an Australian healthcare website dedicated to providing Australian consumers with the most comprehensive and relevant health information resource in Australia. myDr is a project of the MIMS Consumer Health Group, a division of the global healthcare publishing company, UBM Medica. myDr is an extension of the comprehensive health information that MIMS has been providing Australian consumers and healthcare professionals for the past 40 years. For example, MIMS publications, such as the MIMS Annual and MIMS Bi-monthly, have long been established as the drug reference texts of choice for Australian prescribers, while Medical Observer, a weekly tabloid publication, continues to keep Australian doctors well informed about the latest healthcare news.

myDr provides Australians with comprehensive articles and topical items of interest about a wide variety of diseases and conditions, tests and treatments, health and fitness issues, and medications. myDr is a complete healthcare resource, so the site also provides exclusive, comprehensive listings of health support groups. In addition, Australians can search for a health professional in their area using several criteria, including specialty and gender. They can also view a health professional's own website if they have one.

myDr is a commercial healthcare website but advertising does not influence the content of myDr, so users can be sure the information provided is unbiased and credible. Every item produced by the myDr team adheres to the high standards set by MIMS. myDr complies with the standards set by HealthInsite — a Federal Government accreditation initiative designed to provide Quality Assurance for health information on the Internet. myDr also abides by the HON Code principles of the Health on the Net Foundation.
An Australian team
The myDr Web site is compiled by a team of experienced Australian healthcare writers, with contributions from practising Australian healthcare professionals and recognised Australian health organisations. Members of the myDr team have many years' experience in medical writing, referencing and editing, so every item is thoroughly vetted to ensure the information is accurate, up-to-date and relevant to Australian clinical practice.
